Round 1

Kuhn rushes right out of his corner and looks to cut Kelly off immediately. No touching of the gloves, he just corners Kelly and locks up with him right away. Kelly works out of it and then slams him near the side of the cage. He’s on top but Kuhn reverses him and stands back up. Kelly swings wild with a big right hook. It misses but then he lands a leg kick. Kelly takes his opponent down and flattens him out from half guard. The fans are yelling for elbows, but he’s hanging on tight with his upperbody and trying to slide his leg through for a pass. Kelly gains side control, but Kuhn escapes and Kelly stands up first. He’s trying to punish him from on top and end this fight while Kuhn is being crafty and looking for a submission or upkick from the bottom. He lands the upkick, but Kelly seems unfazed. He controls Kuhn’s legs a little more cautiously this time while standing over him and then dives down into an open guard. He lands two hard hooks to the ribs and then pins Kuhn to the mat. His corner tell’s him there is just 30 seconds and he stands up looking to reign down punches. Not many get through so he smothers him, then stands up to try it again. He times a right haymaker with the end of the round, but it hits Kuhn’s foot on the way through and it absorbs most of the power.

Round 2

Kuhn throws the first punch, a jab and it misses. He tries it again and Kelly tries to cut it off with a right hook, but he misses. Then Kelly goes for the takedown and he’s got it. He’s working well in completely open guard, trying to control Kuhn’s arms and to set up a ground and pound finish. Kelly stand up over him and Kuhn all of a sudden tries to get up so Kelly goes for the guillotine and jumps guard but Kuhn is out in no time. Kuhn then takes advantage of his quick escape and goes for the rear naked choke. Kellys controlling Kuhn’s wrists on his chest and protecting his neck well. He frees himself from the submission attempt but winds up on bottom with Kuhn working to pass. Kelly gets an underhooks and muscles his way back to his feet, sweeping Kuhn’s leg and taking over top position on the ground. Kuhn looks to be much more experienced on the ground and although he can’t stop Kelly’s muscle from taking him down, once there, he can move around and transition a lot easier. Kelly tries to stand and Kuhn is beginning to take his back. He’s got underhooks from the rear mount and then brings one arm over his opponent’s shoulder to look for the choke. Kelly turns away from it and almost gives up his back completely but feels his mistake and goes back the other way. They work to their feet and Kelly takes Kuhn’s back on the way up. He backpacks him and rides him to the ground in search of a choke, but the bell signals an end to the second round.

Round 3

Leg kick from Kuhn lands and he looks to follow up with a 1-2 punch combination but Kelly locks up with him and dumps him with a single leg takedown. Kelly is in an open guard but not looking to pass or strike just yet. He holds Kuhn there for a bit until he chooses to try and move. Kuhn explodes to his feet but Kelly has him wrapped up around his waist. Kuhn is tempted to grab the fence but is warned and resists. Kelly holds him in position for a minut and then muscles him up in the air for a takedown. He takes Kuhn’s back but he has no hooks in and he looks to pass to a full mount as Kuhn turns away from the fight, but Kuhn transition well from the bottom and regains his full guard. Kelly stands up over him and locks his legs up trying to throw them to the side and pass, but Kuhn’s lowerbody is way to active. He instead settles on returning to the top spot trapped in between Kuhn’s two legs. He tries to circling, sliding, everything but striking and Kuhn is more then content to ride out this bad spot while waiting to be stood up. The timekeeper signals there is 10 seconds left and Kelly throws about three hooks to the body as time expires.

Official Result

John Kelly def. William Kuhn by Unanimous Decision (29-28, 29-28, 29-28).

Round 1

Quintanilla throws a left jab and follows it with a hard body kick. Both do damage but Acosta takes it and then rushes Quintanilla for the takedown. He gets him down right next to the cage and Quintanilla grabs the fence but lets go before he’s warned. He gets a full guard on Acosta and in no time is reaching for an armbar. It’s deep, but Acosta is still sitting on both knees with his head up and not struggling much to escape. It’s deep and he looks trapped, but in no danger of tapping. Quintanilla turns his hops and rolls away from the cage and you can read the distress in Acosta’s back. Acosta rocks back to his left to straighten it out but Quintanilla is not letting go and looking for a way to bend it more. Acosta doesn’t panic and finally gets out of it as he turns Quintanilla’s head toward the center of the cage. Acosta’s back to fighting this one in a close guard and letting off little hooks to the body whenever he can free his arms. Quintanilla’s guard opens for just a minute but Acosta does nothing to take advantage of it. As soon as it closes again he lifts Quintanilla off the mat with a push up motion and drops him on the mat. Quintanilla then grabs another armbar attempt, but this time Acosta will be freed by the bell.

Round 2

Quintanilla pumps a cross out in Acosta’s direction and Acosta slips and falls. Quintanilla looks to fall forward on top in an advantageous position, but Acosta gets up too fast and grabs a guillotine from the bottom, jumping guard. It looks over for a minute, but Quintanilla pulls out of it and now it is he who is working in a full guard from the top position. Acosta’s guard is open and Quintanilla is trying to posture up by leaning on his opponent’s face with his forearms. It looks like he wants to push Acosta’s right arm to the floor and trap it with his leg, but Acosta won’t let him and works back to his feet. Neither fighter looks very interested in a standup war and after a moment of circling one another it is Acosta who lunges in for the takedown and gets it. Acosta’s working well from the top position in a closed guard, looking to attack but getting tied up. Acosta walks him over to the fence a bit and tries to frustrate him by putting his head on the cage while rubbing an elbow in his face. Quintanilla pulls a rubber guard and almost gets a triangle, but Acosta works through it and finishes the round on top in full guard.

Round 3

Acosta comes walking in like a mummy with his arms up looking for underhooks and Quintanilla blasts him in the gut with a hard knee followed by a punch to the face. Acosta gets the takedown and takes Quintanilla’s back but it is him who lands on the bottom. Acosta’s got his opponent wrapped around the midsection, not allowing him to roll and takeover from the top. Instead, he lets Quintanilla roll to the bottom and Acosta is now on top in full guard controlling the action. Nothing is happening and the referee stands them up. Quintanilla is in the center of the cage and Acosta is circling. Acosta shoots in and Quintanilla sprawls well. The pair stands up together in a clinch and Acosta gains separation by nailing a knee to the body. Acosta presses the issue again, shooting for a single leg and get gets it. He’s in top position against the cage, in half guard, but Quintanilla’s got his right arm bent behind his back. It looks bad but Acosta frees his right arm, only to have his left then trapped in an armbar. There’s a minute left in the fight and Acosta is trying to stand up and slam out of it, but every time he starts to get up you can see the pain in his face. Quintanilla lets go of it and Acosta gets out of his guard and begins to posture up over top of him with his butt in the air. Acosta looks like he’s trying to pull Quintanilla’s legs out from under him, but then he lets go and begins to unload a flurry of right uppercuts to Quintanilla as he sits up. The fight ends and while Acosta walks away with his arms already raised, Quintanilla’s corner man lifts his fighter into the air like he’s the winner.

Official Result

Ralph Acosta def. Tulio Quintanilla by Split Decision (29-28, 28-29, 29-28).

Round 1

Gabin lands a leg kick but Carrillo hits him back with a straight right hand. Gabin resets and then tries to leap in with a flying knee but gets dropped with another right cross by Carrillo. His opponent is on top of the fight and looking to punish Gabin for his mistake, but he gets snagged in an armbar attempt. It looks kind of deep, but Carrillo pulls out and Gabin returns to his feet. Gabin steps in on Carillo looking for a takedown, but Carrillo pummels out. Gabin lands a leg kick and tries to go upstairs next, but Carrillo’s hands seem to be his strength. He backs up Gabin with a couple of punches and pulls away from a single leg takedown quite easily. The pair are back to jousting with punches, Carrillo working his jab and then he lands a nice flurry, attacking the body first and then connecting on the chin of Gabin. His opponent covers up and then tries to return the favor unloading a dangerous flurry of uppercuts, but Carrillo backs out of harms way. Carrillo threatens Gabin’s chin with a jab which falls short, and Gabin does the same with a body shot. Then, Carrillo rushes in for a takedown but Gabin shrugs it off. There’s less than 10 seconds left and Gabin goes for a body kick. Carillo catches his leg and Gabin pulls back, he does a cartwheel to his corner as he frees his leg and the bell sounds simultaneously.

Round 2

Gabin’s kick finds a home on Carrillo’s lower half and Carrillo begins to keep his distance, picking his moments to lunge in with a good punch. He gets close enough to grab for Gabin and his opponent shoots in for a single leg takedown. He takes Carrillo off his feet, but his opponent sprawls well and they’re back up. Carrillo works Gabin up against the cage and is trying hard for a hip toss. After a few moments of hard pushing, he pulls Gabin up and backward but Gabin braces his fall with one arm and puts his foot down to avoid getting dropped on his back. They’re up against the cage again with Carrillo working just as hard and this time he gets it. Carrillo drops Gabin just far enough away from the cage to try and pin him flat. He gets good position in side control and begins using some elbows to the head and body. He then drops a couple of right hooks directly in the gut of Gabin and starts to make his fallen foe panic a bit. Gabin is trying to toss, turn and buck his way out of trouble but Carrillo’s got him stuck. He’s landing elbows to the head and body at will but Gabin is covering his face up well. He rolls to two knees with a second left in the round and is saved by the bell.

Round 3

Gabin pumps a 1, 2 combination out there but it hits the air and Carrillo is circling him, while he holds down the center of the cage. Carrillo lands a heavy leg kick and Gabin answers back immediately with a nice left uppercut to the body. The two high five one another and Carrillo runs him over the second they’re done. He lands on top in side control much like the second round and begins to drive his elbows into the head and ribs of his opponent once again. Gabin is trying to roll away from his opponent but it’s sending him right into those evil elbows that Carrillo is bringing. Gabin manages to weasel his way over to a far corner of the cage and walks up the cage with his feet to turn over, but Carrillo puts him right back on bottom with his shoulders trapped flush against the canvas. Carrillo then stands up and just about gets hit with an upkick, so he backs off to let Gabin stand and then Gabin alerts the official that the tape on his gloves is coming loose. They deal with the problem and then Gabin drops Carrillo with a right hook. He tries to snatch up a guillotine while Carrillo is punch drunk and getting up, but he comes to way too soon and shoves Gabin off of him, returning to top position on the ground. He lands a couple shots and the bell sounds.

Official Result

Frank Carrillo def. Moyses Gabin by Unanimous Decision (30-27, 30-27, 30-27).

Round 5

The fighter come to center and again the ref ask that doctor review Shlemenko’s hemotoma and ear. Shlemenko comes forward with his legs and knees, but Lombard backs him up with another heavy combination. Lombard is being patient, sensing his is way ahead on the cards. Shlemenko slips a wild roundhouse kick and misses badly. Shlemenko lands a spinning backfist, but eats a straight left in return. Lombard grabs another clinch and plants Shlemenko on the canvas again with ease. Lombard is being patient, not willing to take any risks with the fight in hands. The referee stands them up again and Shlemenko scores a spinning backfist, follows with a combination and a knee before Lombard lowers level again and rushes Shlemenko into the cage wall. The fighter lock up in clinch and neither can score. The referee returns them to center. Shlemnko is feeling the urgency and is pushing the action with wild shots shots. Lombard lowers his level again, planting Shlemenko to the canvas one more time as the fight comes to a close.

Round 1

Frausto comes out on the defensive in a low crouch to fend of the takedown attempts of Fujii. Frausto score a solid straight right and Fujii fires back with her own left. Frausto keeps firing the right, but it is telegraphed and slow. Wild kick by Frausto. Fujii sticks a strong left that floors Frausto. Fujii doesn’t pounce and lets Frausto rise back to her feet. Frausto continues to struggle to find an opening as Fujii dodges her shots with ease and peppers Frausto with short lefts. Fujii lands a combination followed by a straight left. Frausto has no answer as she continues to miss her power shots as Fujii easily didges them. Fujii continues to make Frausto miss. Frausto finally lands the powerful right head kick and stuns Fujii, sending her backpedaling. Frausto pounces, landing a flurry of shots at Fujii, but the undefeated phenom survives the assault as the round comes to an end.

Round 2

Frausto comes out firing and lands an early combination to Fujii, who still appears to be feeling the effects of that head kick. Stiff left by Fujii, but Frausto fires off another head kick. Another kick by Frausto, Fujii catches it and then releases. Fujii lunges forward with short punches but Frausto circles her way out of danger. Fujii continues to stand and bang with Frausto, not attempting to bring the fight to the ground. Frausto fires and misses an overhand right. Fujii sticks another combination of short punches. Another combination lands for Fujii as Frausto responds back wildly. Frausto first a kick to the midsection which Fujii catches and release again. Another midsection kick by Frausto. Fujii lunges in with another combination of short punches which score and Frausto misses a wild roundhouse kick as the round comes to a close.

Round 3

More of the same to start the round, Frausto circling and Fujii stalking and scoring with short punch combinations. The action is slowing down as Fujii slows down her darting aggressive attacks. Frausto backpedals Fujii with a kick to the midsection and an overhand right. Frausto lands a combination followed by leg kick. Frausto moves back to her circling and pulls Fujii in before launching another assault on Fujii and scoring a few heavy punches. Fujii is trying to trade punches but is losing out in the exchange. The bell sounds as the fighters move into the championship rounds.

Round 4

Frausto is back on her bicycle as Fujii chases. Straight left scores for Fujii. Neither fighter is looking for a takedown. Fujii scores another combination and Frausto counter with an overhand right. Low kick by Frausto, followed by a short left and another inside leg kick. Fujii steps in with a left. Fujii finally grabs a clinch and lands knees to the stomach and thighs of Frausto. The fighter trade positions as Frausto presses Fujii into the cage. Fujii lands a defensive knee, grabs a lock for a throw but Frausto fends it off and backpedal awy from danger. The fighters exchange wildly and connect as the round comes to a close.

Round 5

Corner instructions from Josh Barnett are that Fujii has four rounds to zero in a very close fight. The fighter come to the middle and Frausto quickly goes to her circling skills. Fujii is limiting her step in attacks as the action lulls. Fujii steps in with a left, presses Frausto into the cage, lands a knee as Frausto fires back a left. Another step in straight left by Fujii lands cleanly. Frausto is slowing as Fujii runs her into the cage. Fujii as a single leg, but Frausto fends it off and brings the fight back to the center. Fujii is picking up pace, steps in with a left, shoots the double leg takedown and scores the takedown. Frausto has Fujii in guard as Fujii pounds away to the ribs. Frausto is hanging on the draw the clock down as Fujii grinds it out until the bell calls an end to the bout.

Official Result

Zoila Frausto def. Megumi Fujii via Unanimous Decision (48-47, 47-48, 49-46)

Round 1

Bernhard opens up, dictating the pace with solid strikes. Dragan counters the attacks, but is losing the exchanges. Bernhard rushes forward, but Dragan is too quick and eludes. Bernhard comes charging forward again, but this time Dragan lands a well-placed left hand to the chin which drops Bernhard to his knees and Bernhard grab Dragan’s legs to regain his senses and is able to score a takedown against the fence. Dragan is back to his feet. Both fighters clinch up seeking a lock position with underhooks along the cage. Ref separates the fighters due to inactivity. Bernhand charges in again with his chin high in the air but this time doesn’t eat a punch. Both fighters clinch along the fence and the referee separates them again. Dragan lands a knee to Bernhard’s midsection as the round comes to an end.

Round 2

Dragan comes out active to start that round, slapping out some hard leg kick followed by an open-handed straight left. Bernhard is pawing at his eye and Dragan lands a kick to the head. The ref steps in to give Bernhard a chance to recover. Low kick by Dragan, answered by an overhand right by Benhard. Dragan has a bounce in his step, but is still too cautious with his attack. Another ref stoppage, this time for a poke to Dragan’s eye. Action restarts and Dragan lashes a powerful leg kick. Dragan scores a stiff straight right that slows Benhard’s attack. Bernhard grabs a clinch and pushes Dragan into the cage. Bernhard grabs a body lock and takes Dragan to the mat with an outside leg trip. Bernhard quickly moves to half guard and then transitions into side control. Dragan has Bernhard tied up and rolls to his knees, giving up his back. Bernhard quickly slips in his hooks and flattens out Dragan. Bernhard is hammering away with shots to the head and Dragan moves back to his base. Bernhard quickly cinches a rear naked choke and has it extremely tight. Dragan is struggling to survive the submission attempt and the bell saves him.

Round 3

The fighter come out tentatively, with neither fighter unleashing any shots for 40 seconds. Dragan lands a sharp inside leg kick. The fighters exchange a quick flurry of punches. Bernhard’s left eye is closing shut and it is affect his vision and aggression. Dragan is not ceasing on the opportunity as the is little activity half way in. Lunging right cross land from Bernhard, but Dragan counters with a straight left. Another low kick landed by Bernhard. The referee calls for action as both fighters are not engaging as the fans rain down boos. More leg kicks landed by Bernhard. Dragan lunges forward with a left that misses wildly. Dragan lunges forward again, but this time Bernhard clinches and holds on until the bell rings.

Round 1

Davis begins by working his jab and Lopez lands a kick to the body. Davis catches the kick and looks for underhooks and a legsweep. Davis takes Lopez down, but he pops right back up fighting the whole way with uppercuts to the body. Davis has Lopez up against the cage and is holding onto the fence with his right underhook. The ref takes Davis’ hand off the cage and Lopez tries to circle away running to his right, but Davis won’t let go. Davis takes Lopez down about 5 or 6 steps away from where he originally pushed him into the fence and takes his back. Lopez tries to roll and escape, but Davis just winds up on top of him. Davis then rolls backwards, doing a reverse summersault to get on top of Lopez in the north south position. Davis takes over side control and is grinding his right elbow in Lopez’ face trying to distract him as he looks to pass. Davis is on top working a kimura on Lopez’ left side but is continually looking to pass. Davis abandons the submission attempt for a moment and drops a heavy elbow on his fallen opponent then goes right back to working for that kimura. Suddenly, Davis lets go of the submission and begins to drop a couple of hammerfists. Davis lands four or five good ones before going back to attacking that arm. Lopez tries to stand and gets his head trapped in a guillotine. Davis leans back and tries to make it tighter but they fall to the floor and Lopez gets his head out. Davis mounts Lopez and reigns down punches from on top until the conclusion of the round.

Round 2

Davis misses with a straight right hand and goes flying past Lopez. Davis turns around and gets hit with a low kick. Davis runs right into Lopez and takes him down near the cage. Davis is all over him and waiting for Lopez to make a mistake. Lopez rolls to his knees and Davis takes his back. Lopez wants to stand up but he ‘t want to give up the rear naked choke. Lopez turns into Davis and grabs hold of a single leg and is up for a minute, but Davis takes him right back to the mat with ease. Davis is in control of the fight and working on top in half guard. Davis frees his arms from underneath of Lopez and lands a few light hammerfists before attempting to pass. Davis lands a few more right hooks and pulls his leg out, but then collpases on top of Lopez before he can attempt to stand. He grabs hold of an arm and passes out to side, but he’s got no submission. Davis traps Lopez’ left arm under his knee and then returns to the kimura he’s been hunting for since minute one. Lopez rolls to his knees and again Davis takes his back. Lopez gets up to two feet, but Davis is hugging him from behind, kneeing Lopez in the legs and won’t give up position. The bells rings with both fighters on their feet and Davis in complete control of the fight.

Round 3

Lopez lands a leg kick but looks exhausted. Lopez telegraphs a high kick and Davis cuts him off with a straight jab before he can even get his foot off the floor. Davis comes after Lopez with all he’s got, landing a few more solid shots to the chin before taking him down. Davi9s is on top looking for a choke, but Lopez’ submission defense is still working well. Lopez sneaks out the back door and is up first, he hops on Davis’ back looking for a rear naked choke, but gets rolled and is back on bottom as quickly as he got on top. Lopez gains a full guard on Davis and ties his arms up, but is being very inactive from the bottom. The referee does not step in, even though there is very little action. Davis doesn’t get his submission and Lopez never gets back to his feet.

Official Result

Raphael Davis def. Tony Lopez via Unanimous Decision (30-27, 30-27, 30-27).

Round 1

The two fighters touch gloves and start to feint a few jabs. Reese lands a head kick on Somchay’s right side. Reese backs off and resets, then rushes in and picks Somchay up for the slam. Reese is working well on the ground in an open half guard, punching often with his right hand but struggling a bit to free his left. Somchay gets full guard, but Reese moves him over to the fence. As soon as Reese gets his opponent’s head resting on the cage he explodes upward and reigns down punches while posturing up. Reese lays down and crowds Somchay, putting his shoulders back on the mat and gets Somchay out of the sitting position. Reese bides his time and makes a smooth move to mount and then tries to end things with a little ground and pound. Somchay ties his arms up after a few shots land, but Reese frees both arms and postures up to land about a dozen heavy hands to earn the TKO stoppage.

Round 1

Patterson lands a straight left punch to the face of Carpenter and then starts swinging away with left and right hooks. Carpenter covers up and Patterson catches him with a headshot while he’s got him up against the fence. Carpenter gains underhooks and gets him up against the cage, but Patterson takes the hooks away and reverses position. He tries to bury a knee in his midsection but Carpenter recaptures the underhooks and has Patterson’s back to the wall. He lands a few hooks to the body and the ref separates the two fighters. Carpenter lands a jab and goes to throw a kick but Patterson counters well and returns a shot to the body. Patterson is backing up, creating room, and Carpenter is trying to land a jab. Patterson comes forward with a left hand and backs him up, but not contact. Patterson comes in angry with healthy combination and lands a right to the body and a pair of left hands upstairs. He’s got Carpenter against the fence but he gains underhookds before Patterson can put him away. They work off the fence and Patterson shoots, Carpenter sprawls well and they both stand up.

Round 2

Carpenter lands a leg kick and then backs Patterson into the cage. But he doesn’t capitalize so Patterson circles out and lands a left to the face. He’s circling away but looks like he feels in control. Patterson lands a leg kick and Carpenter works him up against the cage. He’s delivering hard left hands with a single right underhook. Patterson then gains an underhook of his own and leg sweeps Carpenter to the mat. He’s on top in half guard hooking the head of his opponent and looking to pass. Carpenter pulls out of it though and starts dishing out some punishment from the bottom. He lands an elbow while holding onto a closed guard, and likes the result so he land five or six more while Patterson just hangs on. With just under a minute left the referee stands them up. Patterson gets a takedown and lands in side control. He drops a few elbows to the face of his opponent and the round ends.

Round 3

Carpenter lands a soft leg kick and then cocks his leg back to throw a harder one but Patterson locks up with him and the two go hunting for takedowns against the cage. Carpenter digs for a single leg but abandons it and then connects with a right hook to the head while locked up with his opponent. But the two get inactive and the ref breaks them up. Patterson lands a good punch to the head and Carpenter chases him down. Patterson lands a leg kick and then rushes in for a takedown. He gets it and lands in an open guard, burying his head in his opponents stomach and hanging on to the dominant position. Carpenter is trying to stay busy on the botttom but is having trouble punching his opponent’s head buried under his right arm. The ref steps in and stands them up again. Carpenter is chasing Patterson. He lands a leg kick and misses with a jab. Patterson shoots in for a single, gets one lef, but Carpenter locks in a guillotine and pushes Patterson against the fence. It’s not very tight but Patterson falls to the mat and has to eat a bunch of headshots. Carpenter tries to come down to the floor for a better angle without losing the choke and Patterson sneaks out the side. He’s standing over him and time expires.

Official Result

Tim Carpenter def. Jamal Patterson by Split Decision (29-28, 28-29, 29-28)
