Lyman Good Post-Fight Interview
Q: Another impressive victory tonight. Is this how you thought the fight would go?
Good: Yes. My goal was to finish him. It's always my goal to finish my opponent. It's like my manager always says, you go into the cage and try to impose your will. I imposed my will.
Q: You look intense when you get to the ring. What do you do to psych yourself up for a fight?
Good: That's all my coaches. Coaches know their fighters and how to get them up for a fight. People think fighting is all in the ring but that's just 10 percent of it. Fighting is 90 percent mental and that's where the coaches come in. They know how to get inside your head.
Q: Any injuries? How will you prepare for the next fight in a tournament format?
Good: No injuries. I feel fine. I need to to keep things going and stay proficient in everything because you never know who you will face next. Just keep training and trying to get better for every fight. I don't see us changing anything.
Q: You hugged your family right after the fight..
Good: It's all about my family. It always has been.
Q: What did you think of the great ovation your fans gave you tonight?
Good: It's not just fans. It's fans, family, friends, everyone. I take a piece of everyone into the ring with me. The fans are always great and they were great again tonight.
